Depute Provost Roger Knox was born in Dundee and educated at the City's Harris Academy before gaining a Batchelor of Science degree from St Andrews University and a Master of Science degree from Heriot Watt University. The majority of Roger's career has been spent as a University Lecturer, with the early and latter parts of his career spent as a Computer Programmer/Analyst and Freelance Consultant and Information Analyst. Roger is East Lothian Council's Cabinet Spokesperson for Public Health. A father of five grown up children, he is a resident of Musselburgh.
